A Strange Sort Of Writer’s Block

A Strange Sort Of Writer’s Block

It’s a strange sort of writer’s block when
When little time is to be had
The words come freely and I can write
And poems are no trouble.

But stories, alas, do not work
Inconsequential things succeed
And more important ones do not
Though I strive and struggle.

It’s a strange sort of writer’s block
And it’s driving me up the flipping wall!

    1. When everything important is stuck in a rut and you don’t know what you’re doing with it and it feels like it’ll never work again … but the things you really don’t care about come out perfectly and quickly. Life is giving me too many melons.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
