So it occurred to me a couple of minutes ago (about the time when I had promised to close down my computer, actually) that I should probably write a blog post. Because today is Saturday, and it’s been a while.
Unfortunately, I don’t really have a whole lot to say this week, which is unusual. Quite a few things have happened. But I’ll think of something.
On Monday, I discovered that I got 74% in my RS mock exam, which wouldn’t be all that worrying if it weren’t for the fact my actual GCSE is on Tuesday. Yeah. I need to revise. I went to the library, but borrowed only six books as I have exams.
On Tuesday, I got kind of annoyed at my Italian teacher, but didn’t say anything. I also discovered that the internet is more fun than homework, but irritated parents are not. I carried on reading the first of the books I borrowed on Monday.
On Wednesday, I woke up after an incredibly bad night’s sleep, continued reading the book I was reading on Monday and Tuesday, and did a few other, incredibly boring, things. I also read another book. Unfortunately it was already on my list of 150 books, so I couldn’t add it. I tried to persuade my parents to let me audition for ballet school. I had a ballet lesson.
On Thursday I finally finished the book, and read another one. I had another ballet lesson, after a short band rehearsal in which I failed at instrument-swapping, and I had an hour long conversation with my parents about Wednesday’s attempt to persuade them to let me audition for ballet school. It was a reasonably successful conversation. We’ll talk about it again … in September. Ballet schools are expensive.
On Friday, I read another book, read part of Harry Potter et la chambre des secrets (French revision) and had a band rehearsal. I also watched Have I Got News For You, because it makes me laugh. Then Outnumbered, which also makes me laugh. Note to self – never lie to any children you might possibly have at some point.
Today is Saturday (and Sunday comes afterwards), and I had an orchestra rehearsal. I also had a violin lesson and I received in the post from Amazon a book, “Nutrition for the Dancer” which is incredibly depressing. I did some RS Revision, some work on reading Harry Potter (French edition), watched Doctor Who, had dinner, watched Doctor Who Confidential, and am now writing my least interesting blog post ever.
And that was this week.
Hopefully next time I write a blog post, I’ll have something to say. I just thought you might like to know I was still alive.
