My Life According To My Music

My Life According To My Music

So, take a music player of some description, put it on shuffle, and answer these questions with whatever comes up. I’ve done this already with some hilarious results and some boring ones, now I’m going to do it again. And I encourage you to do it next time you’re short of blog post ideas!

I have a lot of film music on my MP3 :/

From this we can see that my mp3 player is incredibly biased. There wasn’t a single Queen song in that!

1.) IF SOMEONE SAYS ‘ARE YOU OKAY’ YOU SAY?
Hold On (Andy Wilsdon) – [you could interpret this in many ways. I like to think we’re about to jump out of a spaceship….]

2.) HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
A Little Fall of Rain (Les Miserables)

3.) WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
The New Season (Clint Mansell) – [hmmm?]

4.) HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
Cancer (My Chemical Romance) – [hmm. I have tonsilitis … it’s not quite that bad yet.]

5.) WHAT IS YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE?
Schindler’s Workforce (Schindler’s List) – [either I want to get a job in a factory or save the lives of Jews! who knew?]

6.) WHAT’S YOUR MOTTO?
Breath of Life (Howard Shore)

7.) WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
Spike on a Bike (Sarah-Jane Summers) – [okay, what the hell?]

8.) WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
Skating While The Ice Melts (Brian Finnegan) – [oh totally. and they probably do.]

9.) WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
Bootstrap’s Bootstraps (Klaus Badelt)

10.) WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
The Kraken (Hans Zimmer) – [HA HA HA HA HA!]

11.) WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
Amy Hit The Atmosphere (Counting Crows)

12.) WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Back In The Day (Frank Turner) – [oh how sad, constantly living in the past…]

13.) WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
Breathing (Lifehouse) – [come on, Miriam, breathe, you’re a pathetic girl in a book who forgets to breathe when she sees him!]

14.) WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
Live Fast Die Old (Frank Turner) – [it could be appropriate if I’m about 90 when I die. highly inappropriate if I die young]

15.) WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?
Many Meetings (Howard Shore)

16.) WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?
The King Of The Golden Hall (Howard Shore) – [he’s terrifying! gets me every time!]

17.) WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
What Shall We Die For? (Hans Zimmer) – [the sheer quantity of PotC and LotR soundtrack on this list… oh my]

18.) WHAT DO YOU WANT RIGHT NOW?
Speedway (Counting Crows)

19.) WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
People Ain’t No Good (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Shrek 2 Soundtrack) – [oops. sorry guys]

20.) WHAT’S YOUR BEST PICK-UP LINE?
Parade Of The Ewoks (John Williams) – [want to come watch it with me?]

21.) IF YOU MET A HOBO WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO HIM?
The Lewisman in Exile (Sarah-Jane Summers)

22.) WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO YOUR TRUE LOVE?
Dance Above the Rainbow (Ronan Hardiman)

23.) WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR?
St Robinson in His Cadillac Dream (Counting Crows)

24.) WHAT SONG DO YOU SING IN THE SHOWER?
Eulogy (Frank Turner)

25.) WHAT DOES YOUR DOCTOR SAY WHEN YOU GO IN FOR A CHECK-UP?
Masterpiece (Nick & Anita Haigh)
[although what I really want was MCR’s DEAD because that would’ve been hilarious]

26.) WHAT’S YOUR EXCUSE FOR DISAPPEARING?
Hanging by a Moment (Lifehouse)

27.) WHAT DID YOUR MOM SAY WHEN YOU WERE BORN?
Stars (Les Miserables)

28.) WHAT ABOUT YOUR DAD?
Adventures On Earth (John Williams)

29.) WHAT’S YOUR THEME SONG?
The Wild Ones (Oona McOuat)

30.) WHAT DOES YOUR COFFEE MUG SAY?
Once We Were Anarchists (Frank Turner)

So. Some bizarre results, some oddly appropriate ones, and some accurate ones. I’m leaving it up to you to decide which are which, but please feel free to leave a comment. Also,  if you decide to do this on your own blog, leave me a link so I can check it out!

  1. I’d do it… but I have no play list of music to put on random. I live in the silence. Kind of pathetic in this day and age… or at least it feels that way, sometimes.

    I really likes 27, 28 and 29… we should always reach for the “Stars” while having “Avendtures on Earth” and dancing like “The Wild Ones”. :}

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
